A massive book about Andrea Bregno

A massive book (over 600 pages) about the artist Andrea Bregno has been recently edited. No similar work has ever been done for any other artist of the valley. The cover of the book shows the picture of the statue of the Virgin with child, now preserved in the parish church of Osteno. The book gathers several unpublished works by national and international researchers, recorded following a chronological order.
It’s worth noticing the special relationship between Michelangelo and Bregno; they together worked at the “Cappella Piccolomini” in the Duomo of Siena.

The book was first shown to the public in Rome on December 2008.

Title of book: "Andrea Bregno. Il senso della forma nella cultura artistica del Rinascimento."
